Oyster Survey Day

This is a wonderful opportunity to learn how to survey our native oyster release sites, monitoring growth, survival rates and biodiversity-change.

Must I live locally?

It is better, but not essential. Due to the fact that all the work is linked to tides and weather, last minute cancellations and rescheduling is highly likely.

Why?

We need to monitor our growing number of oyster release sites to see how well we are doing. The data collected informs our future restoration efforts and helps advance the growing science of native oyster restoration UK-wide.

What do you need to know?

All training on how to survey on the beach at low spring tide and how to complete the data sheets will be provided.

What do I need to do?

Turn up on the day, prepared for all weathers.

Dates:

19th of October 2024 and/or 20th of October 2024

You can do one or both of the days, either is fine.

Fill in the sign up form below

If you are coming then please join us for an entertaining evening of all things sea and Seawilding on the evening of the 19th of October 2024 - starts 5pm at Craignish Village Hall.
